Valheim Yagluth boss location

If you’re going after Yagluth, that means you’re probably well-versed in how to discover the locations of bosses' Mystical Altars. But just in case: to find out where you need to go, you’ll need to search for a Vegvisir - those small glowing red runestones - in the same biome as the boss will spawn. In Yagluth’s case this is the Plains biome.

Vegvisir are usually found next to structures spawned across theValheim map, so in the case of Plains biomes you’ll want to search in and around Fuling villages and outposts to find and interact with the runestone. Doing so will mark the location of Yagluth’s Mystical Altar on your map.

How to summon Yagluth in Valheim

Where do you find Fuling Totems? You won’t need to go far, because Fulings are denizens of the Plains biome. You can often find Fuling Totems inside Fuling villages and outposts, so keep an eye out for them while you’re searching for the Vegvisir. Occasionally a defeated Fuling Berserker will also drop a Totem.

Once you place the fifth Fuling Totem in the Altar, Yagluth, the final boss in Valheim, will spawn in front of you in the form of a gigantic, glowing purple half-skeleton.

Valheim Yagluth boss fight walkthrough

Yagluth’s two other attacks are: a fist slam which summons meteors from the sky to fall on or near the player; and a fire breath attack with extremely high range but relatively low damage which allows you to tank the attack with a good late-game shield.

Both these attacks must be watched out for and dodged (or in the fire breath’s case, blocked if you prefer), and you should continue to fire fully-charged arrows at Yagluth between his attacks. I’d highly recommend you use the strongest bow available: theDraugr Fang. Don’t use elemental attacks against Yagluth, as he is resistant to them. Instead, use high pure damage arrows such as Needle Arrows.

Yagluth Forsaken Power & loot drops

Yagluth will drop its head as an item upon its death. This is the Yagluth Trophy, and should be taken back to the stone circles at spawn. Place the Trophy on the hook of the final stone and then interact with it to gain access to Yagluth’s Forsaken Power, which grants resistance to elemental damage (poison, fire, and frost).

Yagluth will also drop a unique item, called a “Yagluth Thing”. There is currently no use for this item as it is a placeholder. Presumably this item will be replaced or given new functions with future Valheim updates.

That concludes our guide on defeating the final boss in Valheim. For more information on all the other Forsaken, be sure to consult our guide on theother four bosses. Now that you’ve defeated the final boss, why not catch up on the game’s mysteries, including future possible biome, the Mistlands.
