How to romance in Starfield
All of the romanceable companions in Starfield are members of Constellation, which means they are generally good-aligned characters. That means none of them will be comfortable with you committing particularly heinous crimes, such as murder.
As your Affinity with a character grows, you’ll learn more about their backstory. Eventually, this will culminate in them starting a companion quest, which will involve you helping them clear up something important from their past.
After completing this quest, you’ll have the option to enter a romantic relationship with the associated companion. Wait a little longer and you’ll be able to propose to them, which will then start a “Commitment” quest in which you attend the wedding ceremony and get married.
