Horizon Zero Dawn devs say investigating PC technical problems is “highest priority"No fixes yet

No fixes yet

Katharine explained a lot ofHorizon Zero Dawn’s PC problemson Friday. Some are quibbles over issues like animation and anisotropic filtering, others are big serious things like crashes, lock-ups, and framerates jerkier than me trying to be civil to someone I clearly dislike. The end result is that a game our Nate’sHorizon Zero Dawn reviewdeclared “one of the best adventures you can go on inside a telly, and one of the most beautiful, too” has only a ‘Mixed’ rating from Steam player reviews. For now, at least.

“We have been monitoring all of our channels and are aware that some players have been experiencing crashes and other technical issues,” Guerrilla Games said inSaturday’s Steam post. “Please know that we are investigating your reports as our highest priority.”

Investigating is a few steps ahead of actually releasing fixes, so I might hold off if you want an unsullied first experience with it. Guerrilla said they “will update you all as soon as we have more news,” and Saturday’s post is their most recent statement on the problems.

“If you are still encountering crashes or bugs, please continue to use those spaces, or refer toour FAQif you are unsure of how to proceed. Your reports are, and have already been, incredibly helpful for our teams.”

Horizon Zero Dawnis out now onSteamandthe Epic Games Storefor £40/€50/$50.
