The best Groza loadout for Warzone

Wanna up your Groza game with the best loadout? Then you’re in the right place. The Groza is in an interesting spot inWarzone. It has a very competitive long-range time-to-kill, but more horizontal recoil than typical long-range Assault Rifles. It’s solid at close-range too but still comes nowhere close to the mightyCold War AK-47. The Groza isn’t a meta-shattering weapon, but it’s entirely worth using and has a bit of a niche at mid-range. If you’re looking to try it out, we’re here to help with our guide to thebest Groza loadouts in Warzone Pacific.

Best long-range Groza loadout in Warzone
Long-range has traditionally been a struggle for the Groza due to its high horizontal recoil. However, Season 4 Reloaded smoothed out one of those horizontal hitches in the pattern, much improving the Groza’s long-range prospects. It’s noKrig 6, but it’s still much better than it was. If you want to try it out, here’s our build.
TheGRU SuppressorandMil-Spec Barrelwill smooth the recoil out even more while adding some damage range and bullet velocity. Adding aSpetznaz Gripbrings the recoil down another notch and should make it fairly controllable at range with some practice. Of course, to track distant targets you will want some zoom on your optic, so we’ve gone with anAxial Arms 3x. This is the most common choice for Cold War weapons right now, but it won’t hurt your build if you have a different preference. Finally, use the60 Round Magazinefor maximum damage output between reloads.
Secondary weapon
With a long-range build like this, it’s best to go for an SMG. TheModern Warfare MP5is very strong right now, and the newOTs 9shreds in Solos. For more options, head to our guide to thebest SMGs in Warzone.
Best sniper support Groza loadout in Warzone
The Groza isn’t exactly dominant as a sniper-support, but it does have a niche for itself. Its range holds up a bit longer than the meta-shaping Cold War AK-47, so you’ll actually drop mid-range opponents faster. Plus, it has slightly better mobility. Here’s the build:
You should still use theGRU Suppressor, but pair it with a shorterGRU Composite Barrel. You’ll have great bullet velocity between the two, without the mobility penalties of heftier options. Next, use the good ol’Tiger Team SpotlightandRaider Stockcombo to achieve optimal mobility. You won’t quite have the speed of a sniper supportMilano, but you’ll be quicker than AK-47 users. Finally, stick with the60 Round Magazine. On some sniper supports you can get away with a smaller mag for faster ADS times, but with the Groza’s fire rate we prefer the extra shots.
You can try out a VDV Reinforced Barrel for a bit of range and recoil control. Your base movement speed won’t actually change, but your ADS movement speed will suffer. A 60 Round Fast Mag is worth a shot as well for faster reloads in close quarters. Give it a shot and see if you can stand the slower ADS time.
Secondary weapon
Its hard to call something a sniper support without a Sniper Rifle. For general purpose, on the move sniping go with aSwiss K31orKar98k. If you prefer long-distance, try theZRG. Check out our guide to thebest Sniper Riflesin Warzone for all the alternatives.
Best Groza loadout with Perks and Equipment
Here’s all the info you need on maximising your Cold War loadouts, with the bestPerksand Equipment being vital to your loadout. Here are our favourites:
EODis the standard blue perk, and will help you survive blasts from grenades or the dreaded Claymores. For perk two you always wantGhost, butOverkillcan be nice to grab both of your weapons quicker. Just remember to get Ghost ASAP.Ampedlets you swap between your Groza and your Sniper or SMG, which is vital if youre caught in a pinch or run out of ammo.
Semtexhas sort of been the default lethal since the C4 nerfs. It will one-shot targets you stick, which is very nice. If vehicles are getting you down though, swap to Thermite Grenades or Proximity Mines. Finally, use aHeartbeat Sensorto track down targets, orStun Grenadesto lock them in pace. The choice here is merely a matter of playstyle.
How to unlock the Groza
Don’t have a Groza around to kit out? We’ve got you covered. The Groza was once unlockable at Tier 31 on the Cold War Season 1 Battle Pass. If you missed out on that you’ll need toget 3 or more kills with Assault Rifles without dyingin either Warzone or Cold War Multiplayer. If you don’t own Cold War, try Plunder and Rebirth Island to get more lives per game than your typical Battle Royale.
